It was pretty darn fun with some good music, dancing, familiar faces, new faces giveaways and prizes for best costume! The fun of the night led to a 'picture-free' night for me. Ah well - next time!

The 5th issue of my magazine "A Touch of Lace" hit the shelves tonight! 5 erotic stories with images in Thincbook form. All the fun of Halloween serves as the backdrop of this issues. Vampires, werewolves, a seductive costume party and even a Succubus can be found within the 70+ pages! If you're not familiar with the concept of the magazine, each issue has a central theme and written submissions are
taken in from amateur writers and reviewed. 5 Stories are chosen and given to some talented photographers to express visually. The collaboration is meant to be fun and interesting for all parties. The key is that it comes from individuals in SL.

This is my labor of love and I'm blessed to know people who wish to help make this a reality. My SL partner Sue Spyker is a never-ending source of encouragement. I would also be lost without the tireless energy and positive words from Djamila and Isabelle - those two deserve more thanks than I can possibly type here or anywhere else.

This thing is so hard but yet so rewarding to create and it's a blessing to have met some amazing people along the way of making each issue.

Halloween!

Greetings all! So the Halloween issue is coming soon and some really exciting news is coming together so this is a 'general' update to anyone interested in "A Touch".

First - the issue has had a few bumps. Some photography shifts seem impossible to avoid and at least one photographer has backed out. Another appears to be in and I hope to meet up with her soon. I can assure you though that the stories are really fantastic and there is a wonderful variety of stories for the season.

Second - A unique display will be going up featuring one of my stories in SL. Look for a LM in the coming week, I hope it'll be done and as visually impressive as I believe it will! The display will also feature someone reading stories in-world which should be a treat.

Third - There's a booth in the 'Cookie' sim featuring many talented writers, "A Touch" is there and I will drop a LM there so anyone can check it out!

Last - Thanks to all who check in here. I am tryin so hard to update this with some frequency.

So for this issue, it's all about 'vacation' themes. Some very hot stories about women away on tropical beaches but there are a few cottages in this world that have seen some very steam encounters as well. So if you like fun in the sun, you'll find that here and if you like some quiet times away in a secluded place, that can be found here too!

Huge thanks to the ladies that help make this happen, especially Isabelle and Djamila for the layout and photography. Beyond that, a ton of great support from these fine ladies, without them, this would not exist. My Sue for being a big supporter always and to all the photographers and writers, you guys came through with some good material here and I'm proud to say we are into issue 4.

So look at the previous post for the story needs for issue 5. We're talking Halloween so let your 'wild' side out under the light of the moon. There's lots of possibilities there so don't hold back boys and girls!

A Call for Writers for Halloween!

Greetings my fair writers and readers!

The next issue is so close, look for it in the coming days! It's got 5 great stories of rendezvous during 'vacations' so you can have a little fantasy fun as August ends.

But the big news is the call for writers. I need your help gang! Halloween is coming and the 5th issue will be all about the spooky and sensual aspects of the season. If you have a little story about Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Ghosts or Goblins....this could be your issue. Even if the story is set at a fantastic costume party, it fits within the Halloween time.

Basic guidelines for story submissions:

- 1200-2000 words
- Stories are bi/lesbian in nature
- You release the story to Lacie Babenco in SL or via lacie_babenco@yahoo.com
- Photos should not be sent at time of story submission - A Touch of Lace will work to get photographs.

As always - I'm happy to work with writers that have questions or need any collaboration. Just give me an IM or notecard and we can set something up.

If you're a photographer, I'd love to see your work and talk about working together.

August Update

Sorry for the delay gang - it's time Lacie uses this thing more effectively! Here goes....

First - issue 4 is in production for a late-August release. Stories are in and with photographers for development. I've got the cover model shot and it's into layout next week!

So look for the normal release party and fun.

In addition, I've started a small speaking circuit. 2 engagements so far to give an overview of what the magazine is and how people can contribute. It's such a simple concept - amateur writers of erotica developing stories against a theme and then photographers shooting images for it! Isabelle and I wrap it all up and it's rather amazing to see!

Two ideas are brewing. First, one for a web based version of the magazine. The technology is very cool and easy to use, we'll see! Second, the next issue! It's going to be a Halloween issue for sure so be ready for some ghouls, goblins and vampires in the 5th issue - October release.

First Issue is live

Now begins my regular update of this blog. The goal is simple, once a week, provide some basic details of what's going on. So if you're a writer or photographer or just a fan of the magazine, this will be the place to find out more.

I've been terribly lazy about getting this going but now this will be my regular 'thing' to update.
